The independent label Ovanbeck Records was releasing an EP by the band Heiko. They wanted to do a release party that was both worth its price and something new. They had an idea to do a concert for the fans but they also wanted to reach new listeners. The solution was to broadcast the concert over the Internet wich made it possible for anyone to see the concert for free. It became a worldwide concert.
To get closer to the feeling of a stage concert we made it possible for the viewers to interact with the band using a chat. Free services like Myspace, Facebook, Bambuser, blogs and newsletters were used to promote the concert. Heiko reached thousand of new listeners.
When the concert was broadcasted from a small house in the Swedish countryside, a Saturday night in February, it got more then 150 live viewers from all over the world that both cheered and chatted.
