Permanent link »I have now done a update and redesign of this site. And finally got some projects on the first page.
This is a clean start and something I can continue work on and develop. I am working on a version with a little more color and spice. But the main thing is that I now has a first page where I can show some of the projects I have been working on. And that I now can write more off topic posts on the blog.

I will post more projects in the weeks to come and also do some minor tweaks and implement vCard, google maps and some other ideas.
My girlfriend bought this beautiful box of fresh Wilhelmina peparmunt in Scotland.
I love this package. Great colors and a clean design as fresh as the taste of pepermunt.

My redesign of Ord&Bilds site is now live and it was celebrated with the release of the latest number Röster.
First there have been a release of a movie about Milton Glaser by Arthouse. The movie is titled “Milton Glaser: To Inform & Delight”, check it out if you can.

I also found a old webclip with Milton on the great TED talk site. Watch it here.

I am very glad and honored to be working on the new redesign of the site for Ord&Bild. Ord&Bild is Sweden’s oldest culture publication. I will post more information about that one in a couple of weeks.
Hopefully sooner then later I will be ready with my update of this site, www.ivanivarsson.se. The update will bring a first page the will show cases that I have been working on. The blog will, as planned, take a step back.

You can download the pdf here.
I have done the design for the new version of Ovanbeck Records website.
This version of Ovanbeck was more of a realign then a redesign. But it was needed to bring more focus to the startpage.
The main focus of the redesign was:
The first step was dividing the frontpage into five section. That is the menu, top picture, news block, content and footer. By dividing the news block in three columns we got four, including the top picture, new spots for ads and news. And by moving a lot of the regular content to the footer we still could keep the pages relative uncluttered.
I think in web design, as in print, one of the most importent aspects is typography. So I spent a big part of this project on setting the margins and line heights of the different parts. I used Georgia for the body and Helvetica for the headings and change to Trebuchet MS on the line texts.
It is always a problem with the bad rendering of fonts on IE and pc but that is something you just have to work with.
In the future I will do the headings with sIFR. With the use of sIFR I can change the headings to the profile correct Trade Gothic that is used in the top menu.
Check it out at www.ovanbeck.com.

I am not a smoker so he can’t be me. Mr. Weatherman (ink, watercolor, paper)
This is the best web idea I have seen in ages. Once again flash is on the edge.
Check out the digital hologram at GE. If you don’t have a printer you can watch it on youtube here. The idea and the way it is done it is just amazing. It is such a great concept for human interaction with computers.
The only negativ is maybe that you have to print it out on paper. But that should be no problem to correct in the future.
Why not use it to map clothes to your body in a web shop or play on a hugh drum set with your hands and doesn’t everybody love air guitar?
